Recent Reading Escapes
In recent years, as work has become more intense, as has life, I have found books are almost as transformative for me as travel can be. Plowing through books is a great way to have a bit of respite, instead of the dreaded doom scroll. After a busy few months, I've finally had some time to get lost in a few more books. While this list is a bit longer than usual (as I have not done this in awhile), each one offered a wide range of experiences, from welcome escapes to compelling stories that simply held my attention. Here are the books that have recently captured my attention.

Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan– Guilty as I saw the film first, but I loved this book – already ordered the 2nd in the series. I am absolutely fascinated by this group of characters.
In Five Years by Rebecca Serle – My first Rebecca Serle book. A captivating read that had me interested until the last page.
